At Ghawean Dewe, every product carries a story of empowerment and community resilience. Our handmade batik creations are crafted by local women, retired professionals, and youth from surrounding neighborhoods. We provide hands-on training in sewing, batik art, and product development to ensure they gain not only skills, but also confidence and income opportunities.Our social mission is rooted in sustainability—reviving cultural heritage through upcycled materials while promoting economic inclusion. By turning batik fabric scraps into valuable crafts, we reduce textile waste and create purposeful livelihoods.Over the years, Ghawean Dewe has been recognized by government initiatives and supported by programs such as the Ministry of Trade and Bank Mandiri. Our work has also reached international exhibitions, spreading the message of ethical craftsmanship across borders.

Since 2017, Ghawean Dewe has grown from a small home-based initiative to an internationally recognized brand.
